چکیده
Background: Children have a potential risk from radiation exposure because they are more sensitive to than adults. Objective: The purpose of this work is estimate image quality according tube voltage (kV) and dose in pediatric computed tomography (CT) using deep learning reconstruction (DLR). Methods: Phantom images children adults were obtained for kV, dose, methods. CT emits fan beam the opposite detector, geometry detector was symmetrical. acquired at volume index (CTDIvol) 0.5 10.0 mGy voltages 80, 100, 120 kV. A DLR used reconstruct phantom image, filtered back projection (FBP) iterative (IR) also performed comparison with DLR. Image evaluated by measuring contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) noise. Results: Under same imaging conditions, adult phantoms generally provided improved CNR noise compared FBP IR images. At similar noise, FBP, IR, showed reduction images, respectively. In terms effect voltage, 100 kV higher that Conclusion: According results, since maintain lower doses can improve while reducing children’s abdominal scans.

Effect of Low Tube Voltage on Image Quality, Radiation Dose, and Low-Contrast Detectability at Abdominal Multidetector CT: Phantom Study
PURPOSE To investigate the effect of low tube voltage (80 kV) on image quality, radiation dose, and low-contrast detectability (LCD) at abdominal computed tomography (CT). MATERIALS AND METHODS A phantom containing low-contrast objects was scanned with a CT scanner at 80 and 120 kV, with tube current-time product settings at 150-650 mAs. The differences between image noise, contrast-to-noise ...

Introduction: Using computed tomography (CT) is increasing significantly in Iran and worldwide. Reduction of CT's radiation dose is a critical concern. The aim of this study was evaluating the effect of localizer kVp on spiral CT images when the tube current modulation (TCM) is activated. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the image quality produced by six different iterative reconstruction (IR) algorithms in four CT systems in the setting of brain CT, using different radiation dose levels and iterative image optimisation levels. METHODS An image quality phantom, supplied with a bone mimicking annulus, was examined using four CT systems from different vendors and four radiation dose levels...
متن کاملRadiation dose reduction in thoracic and abdomen–pelvic CT using tube current modulation: a phantom study
This phantom study was designed to compare the radiation dose in thoracic and abdomen-pelvic CT scans with and without use of tube current modulation (TCM). Effective dose (ED) and size-specific dose estimation (SSDE) were calculated with the absorbed doses measured at selective radiosensitive organs using a thermoluminescence dosimeter-100 (TLD-100). When compared to protocols without TCM, the...
